Job Description
Plan, coordinate and manage all activities related to Legal and Commercial Litigation for AZAQ Group and its Entities in all regions where AZAQ is operating. Also act as the focal point of contact to liaison between the Legal Section and other parties whether within AZAQ Group and externally with Legal and Government offices.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide legal advice to the management in respective domains such as Governance, In-house Counselling, International Law, Commercial litigation, Employment Law and Real Estate Laws
- Draft legal recommendations for other functions/business units of AZAQ Group and its entities
- Review the legal risks involved in various business deals and share the same with the management
- Review the existing legal cases of the Group and work upon resolving them
- Assists in performing Legal Affairs meetings and court cases, and also consults sources to prepare legal opinions on matters as required
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations and update upper management on any legal compliance-related issues
- Handle and assist in handling legal queries, advisory work, litigation, IP, regulatory compliance, and privacy-related matters.
- Create forms and modify the process for Legal operations for a smoother operation and better control of the process
- Respond to requests for legal cases and ensure that all required documents are available to open a case
- Follow up and keep track of all legal cases and update the progress of each case
- Write comprehensive and complete legal reports containing all case details to be presented to the legal offices and/or courts
- Create a report showing the pending, in progress, and finalized legal cases with the final results of them and present them to the management
- Coordinate as the focal point with other functions/business units of AZAQ Group and its entities to ensure the smooth operation of the Legal Section
- Review the business agreements of functions/business units to ensure their legal compliance
- Translate legal documents from English to Arabic and vice versa as and when required
- Maintain properly all legal-related documents as hard copies and e-files
- Conduct investigations with employees in a professional manner.
- Prepare a report of the investigations and attach supporting documents, if available
- Keep a record of all conducted investigations and their results
- Perform other job-related projects and/or assignments that he/she might be asked to do by his/her direct supervisor/manager for special assistance that are often not mentioned in this job description as they arise under specific circumstances such as coordinating and arranging Board Members’ meetings, etc.
